Recording issues
If the app isn't recording, check that your browser has microphone permission. On Android, ensure Cloudscribe has audio permission in Settings → Apps.
Transcription not appearing
Transcription runs in the background after recording stops. Check your internet connection — transcription requires an active connection to Gemini. Free accounts are limited to 30 minutes/month.
Drive sync issues
Your recordings sync to a folder called Cloudscribe in your Google Drive. If sync isn't working, try signing out and back in to refresh your Drive permissions.
Billing & subscription
Manage or cancel your Cloudscribe Pro subscription via the Account & Usage panel in the app. For billing queries email hello@cloudscribe.app.

Where are my recordings stored?
Your audio files and transcripts are saved to a folder called Cloudscribe in your own Google Drive. We don't keep copies on our servers.
What format are transcripts saved in?
Transcripts are saved as Markdown files (.md) with front matter containing the date, duration, and speaker list. You can open them in FolioMD, Obsidian, or any text editor.
How accurate is the transcription?
Cloudscribe uses Google's Gemini 2.5 Flash model, which produces high-quality transcripts. Accuracy varies with audio quality, accents, and background noise. Always review transcripts before relying on them.
What happens to my data if I cancel Pro?
Your recordings and transcripts remain in your Google Drive — they're yours. Your account reverts to the free tier (30 min/month transcription). FolioMD Pro features lapse with the subscription.
Can I use Cloudscribe offline?
You can record offline — audio is saved locally. Transcription and Drive sync require an internet connection and will happen automatically when you reconnect.
Is there an Android app?
Cloudscribe works as a Progressive Web App (PWA) — install it from editor.cloudscribe.app in Chrome on Android for a native-like experience. A Play Store app is coming soon.
